abreu is marginally better than the RF platoon the Yanks were already sending out there....as for lidle, he's an average national league pitcher at best, so translated to the american league, he's as good as who the yanks are already struggling with.......jaret wright

i see this deal more as a back up plan in case sheffield doesn't come back next year.

as for steal of the decade, try curt shilling for one casey fossum or david ortiz for............nobody

as a "red sux" fan, believe me i'm not worried about the prowess of abreu OR lidle, maybe TWO abreus and TWO lidles combined would be impressive, but again, i'm not concerned in the least.......

Hate to say it but, Yankees better get used to watching the sox on top again this season.......

I'm not a fan of either team ( Dodgers Fan Here) , but the Red Sox are two times the better team the yanks are this year......
