Heh, well the thing is about the 360 is that it does do a lot more than video games. It's a home entertainment hub - it networks with other computers in the home and allows you to play videos and whatnot off your home computer on your xbox - which usually is where the big TV is and the home theater, etc. (this is one thing I use mine for).

They basically decided to find out what everybody did with their modified Xbox originals and built it into the 360.

On a side note, it's also got a very good DVD player drive - it plays all sorts of DVD-R media that my "high end" Onkyo dvd changer has some troubles with.... When the HD-DVD drive becomes available it'll be a cheaper alternative for playing HD-DVDs than buying a standalone player, too (guessing but it is likely).

Also... think about this.. $400 for the console sounds like a lot but honestly it's not much considering 50-60 bucks per game adds up VERY quickly...

Usually the only way that the games look better is if you have HD TV. I am going to wait for the price to come down, I am happy with my PS2

The only times I've played the 360 is when I've been at Best Buy and they had a Demo up of it. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay sticks you right into the game you're playing. That being said I don't think I would buy one for over 400 bucks and that's just because I wasn't a fan of X-Box and have been a fan of PS console since the first one.

I'm still very happy with my PS2 and I've had it for about 3 years now. I will probaly buy a PS3 once it's been out awhile and the price drops down.

Also like alot of people i'll buy it when the price drops at least 100 euro's
