    Re: wow

People take a lot of things they have for granted. They don't take the time to appreciate the little everday things they have or stop to think about how life would be without them.

This is a good reminder to all, especially to our younger members.

Be grateful for what you have that you take for granted no matter how trivial they may seem.

Freedom, shoes, a home, health, a meal, a warm bed, water, clothes, schools, etc.

And if you can, help those who don't have the everyday things that you take for granted.

"There was a man who was unhappy because he had no shoes, until he met a man who had no feet."

"If at first you don't succeed, parachuting is not for you"

I give money to homeless people when I’m in Minneapolis.

One time when I was in NYC, a homeless guy asked me for change, and I said I didn’t have any. I actually did. And later on I felt bad, so now I always empty my pockets for change for those guys.

    thats no good...

you give money to the shelters, not the people, at the shelters it goes towards things they need, chances are if you give money to a man in the gutter, the cash is going towards whatever put him in the gutter.

    Re: wow

Let me tell you all from my own experiences....

I've seen people living in places and ways, that have just mind boggeled me.......

I've walked thru areas, most people wouldn't even have the nerve to do so.....

We all take things for granted at times, yes even I do....But when you see some of the ways people of the world have to live out there, it does have a big impact on the way one thinks.....Alot of it is very sad...

But at the same time, let us not forget, we have Americans living in some very rough conditions also. Take a trip thru the back hills of West Virgina......Some really sad situations these people live in..

I'm just thankful I was born an American, I've Served our Great Country, and I have alot to be gratefull for today....

I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.
