Those are cool and very intelligent birds... Are the Green Winged Macaw's rare? I love those birds, I walked in a pet store one time, and a Macaw to me to get F!!ck@d..

I am sure one of the workers, or customers taught him that. When he said that, everyone starting laughing their a$$es off.. It was funny..
The Green Winged Macaw is not that rare, but is the 2nd largest of the breed "Macaw"......They can live to be 100 years old, but more common is 70 to 80 years old.

They can have a very wide range of vocabulary, all depends on how much time you spend trying to teach them...I wll get this bird to say "Go Vikings" Vikings # 1....

The largest Macaw is a Hyacynith..(spelling ?) Not as common due to the cost...Big $$$$$$$$$$$$ But an all purple in color bird...Thats a Viking Bird...LOL

My bird would cost around $1,500.00 but I recieved him and the pedestal and cage for free....About a $2,500 savings..

I'll see if I can find and post the other Macaw I mentioned...

Nice addition to the zoo Ned. When I & the ex were raising birds, my parents got into birds as well & bought a Blue & Gold Macaw. I was always interested in getting the Scarlet Macaw.

They're great birds & very talkative. Teach him to say "Packers Suck". They also like to shriek alot, which you will soon find out.

How old is he now? Green-wings live to be about 60 years old or more.

Nice addition!! What does he say?
My African Grey says lots of things. My son-in-law tries to get him to say "Vikings suck," but I think I will teach him to say "Go Vikings" first!
At least the bird is smart enough to not repeat anything my son-in-law says!

That is a beautiful bird Ned! You have a fascination with birds eh? All of the fighting cocks and now a Macaw? Whats next? A California Condor?
    Jk!
