World Sport Stacking Championship???

Just turned on ESPN and the had on the "World Sport Stacking Championship."
What it was was kids stacking plastic (paper) cuts as fast as they could. Now there's a sport for ya!

Anyone ever seen this before?

I just got to my hotel and turned on the TV (to ESPN first of course) and saw the same thing, and had the same thoughts.
What the heck is this?

Just when I was thinking that we Americans will make a sport out of anything, some poor girl from the UK had a bad time and the announcer made referance to one of the competitors from Germany I think.
So this is not only a sport, it is a worldwide sport?????

I too was lucky enough to run into this while turning on ESPN this morning.
Even though the whole thing was pretty stupid I found myself watching for a while.
I thought it was pretty funny when the two teams competing for the relay or whatever were German team 1 and German team 2...what a compelling matchup...
the best part of the whole thing is the announcers who are trying to make the thing seem legit like they were commentating for the superbowl or something, nice way to begin your spots broadcasting career!

No matter how low you think the sport is you would have to assume that the commentators for the event have invented a new low in the profession.
Do they have a play-by-play and a color commentator?

Yup. They had them both Prophet! Might be a good gig for Joe Buck!

This is actually being implented in a ton of phy ed classes across the nation to work on kids hand eye coordination. In my P.E. classes, I don't teach it, I prefer more active activities in PE.

If you ever implement it maybe we can get Ned to ref it and Coj can do the commentating with Del Rio for color commentator.

LOL, I think the commentators would be more exciting than the event itself!
