Due to an unfortunate incident, Jing will not be leaving for the U.S. tonight. She was all set to fly out of the Philippine to come to the USA, but yesterday her & her mom were robbed on their way to the church in Cebu City for the last time before her departure. In her bag she was carrying her wallet along with her Fiancee Visa that took us 8 months to get, her passport, a few hundred dollars & her engagement ring. All were taken in the robbery.
Why she was carrying those important papers with her just to go to the church that day is beyond me, but it's a moot point now. I was able to cancel her flight but not without paying a 40% fee. I have to contact the US Immigration Embassy today to see what can be done to replace the Visa.
I will keep you updated.
