Funny thing, the competition was held just across the street from me at the Grand Hyatt...I could see the production trailers from my window, but didn't know what they were for. Someone told me that they were filming scenes for the sequel to "Bruce Almighty", a movie called "Evan Almighty" starring Steve Carell, but we never saw him either. :sad:

I bet thats all those kids do is study language and spelling...Alot of latin they have to study also I'de think..

I'm happy with my son learning how to kick and throw a ball and how to put a worm on a hook, or hook a shiner thru the lips...

I can spell Football and Fishing....Do I win anything for that?...

Actually, one of the kids (who lost in the finals) prefers calculus and wants to be a doctor! NERD!!!

I'm sure lots of them are very smart kids, but I bet there is a few there that are driven by their parents wishes. Hey, sounds like me...LOL

I just want to know if these kids ever go outside, and do something other than study.
