Windows 7 RC

Microsoft has released Windows 7 RC. It's basically a free version of windows 7 that you can try out for 1 years times. If anyone has an spare PC and are interested in trying it out.

I wouldn't put it on my primary PC but it is simple installation for the non IT professionals.

I tried the beta version, and it ran very well on my computer.

I plan on upgrading to 7 at some point.

It's better than the beta if you ask me. My only issues is that my graphics card on my laptop is not compatible (lazy ass ATI) so I am running at only 1024 X 768. I some how manage to get it to accept my sound card even though vista didn't like it. All in all I actually prefer vista's gui to 7's but.

Office 2007(i just downloaded) is crap!

His spreadsheet is scribbled on the piece of cardboard he tore off a case of the beast.

it takes some getting used to thats for sure.
I've used it for over a year now and still don't know where everything is.
my alternate is going back to office 2K since I don't have 2003.

I get what they were trying to do and certain changes make sense. However, it's very dificult to manual manage the changes in tabs, margins and formats in a document that wasn't created in 2007. If anyone wants a copy let me know.

yup, and the new visio's going to that format too.
I haven't had a chance to play with that yet, but i'm not looking forward to it.
