Ostlund is an idiot.
Unlike in Arizona, when he set out to make the semi-pro women's team, he did it with an obvious jab at the Vikings organization by trying to use the name Viqueens, and a logo similar to the Vikings logo.
Had he approached it with the Vikings organization professionally, he probably could have gotten some equipment like they did in AZ.

Good for you Wilf.
Thanks for not turning the proud Vikings name into a laughing stock.

Wow, that guy took some real jabs at with and the Vikings organization. Oh well, I know I'd rather buy Vikings merchandise than some women's "pro" football team.

Whoever that guy is, he is a putz.. Good for Wilf to say no, and not tarnish the Viking name.. I know people around Wisconsin already call the Vikings, the Viqueens.. That would really add fuel to the fire..

On what he thinks of the Vikings' reaction: "Perhaps they think people will confuse women's football with the football the Vikings play in the fall. This will be far better football than the Vikings are playing."

Those comments won't win fans over to the womens team.

On how women's teams are received in other NFL communities: "When Arizona Cardinals owner Bill Bidwill found out there would be a women's team, he outfitted them. He gave them helmets, uniforms, shoes, everything. And he's considered the cheapest owner in the league. You'd think the Vikings would want to give us something. Instead, they say, 'Cease and desist. We're going to sue you.'"

That is a total slam on Zigi, comparing him to the cheapest owner in the NFL.

Is Webby going to go out of his way to start a "PPVQ.org?"

This Oustland might be aiming his shots at Webby next for not treating women equally and fairly pretty soon for not giving them their own site.
LOL!

In no way am I saying that Webby doesn't treat women fairly, this is merely my thought on how Oustland might approach it from Oustlands perspective to promote his Womens Football Team.

Wonder what Cowboys fans would think if they tried to do this with "Arizona Cowgirls" and used the star logo and added some sparkles or something.

Someone needs to tell this guy to try being original.
