Wild about The Wild - Official Playoff Thread!
I've got Hockey Fever, oh yeah, baby.
Even though I was in attendance at last night's stinker.
Whooo boy - 2 goals given up in the first 1:20 of the game.
Yikes!
The Wife and I barely had time to get used to being 3 rows off the ice (which was really cool when they were right in front of us (we were at the end that The Wild shot at twice)) and kind of a bummer when they were down at the other end.
In any case - The Wild are in the playoffs and, in the NHL, that actually means something if you're the 7th or 8th seed.
A hot goalie, a couple of lucky bounces and it's Stanley Cup time, baby!

Let's Go Wild!!!

Re: Wild about The Wild - Official Playoff Thread!
For the second time in my life, I'm actually going to a NHL game tonight. The Blackhawks are so bad, they decided to give their tickets away. On Wednesday, they were running a special on ticketmaster that seats on the 200 level were free, all you had to pay were the ticketmaster fees. My wife and I got two tickets to the game for $6 total.

We don't have the big boys down here, however our local team is gonna make the playoffs.

I am also glad MN has a team again. Killed me when the North Stars left.
Anyway, now that ESPN is pushing hockey a bit more along with OLN on my satty maybe I will get to see them play some more.
Go Wild/Go Admirals.
;D
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Wild Goalie 'Pretty In Pink' For His Sister
Jeanette Trompeter
Reporting
(WCCO) A Minnesota Wild player is using all the attention his team is getting to send a message of love and support to someone very special in his life.
Goalie Josh Harding is always on the defense. It's his job is to deflect whatever is coming at him and protect his team from taking a hit on the scoreboard.
When he chose the design for his goalie helmet, he was pretty confident he'd be taking a few hits for choosing a pretty in pink color scheme, especially doing so in his first full year with the Wild.
"So I'm a new guy on the team and ... I thought I'd take more of a beating than I am right now, but everybody seems to be behind me and ... most people are actually hit by it too," said Harding.
Harding chose his pretty in pink design after his 26-year-old sister Stephanie Rose LaBruno was diagnosed with breast cancer. The pink ribbon has become the emblem of the fight against breast cancer. Harding wanted as many people as possible to know he's in the battle with her even from a distance.
"(This is) the angel that she goes to the surgeries with and ... I thought if I had it on my helmet, it just kind of makes me there with her," said Harding. "I'm not beside her. I can't go give her a hug or anything like that, so it's kind of a tribute to her ... how much she actually means to me. I thought we could raise a lot of money for a great cause."-Sno
