The Wiggles LIVE and in concert
So I took the 3-year-old to see The Wiggles at the Target Center on Friday night.
It was about what I expected and she had a blast, so it was all good for me.
Here are some quick observations:
* The Target Center is a dump.
I dunno, maybe it was just me and the path I took to our seats, but I was not at all impressed by that building.
The X is much better, locally, and I've been in many arenas that look better than that place.
* Paul Molitor's current wife is super hot.
Molly was sitting one row behind and 3 seats to the left of me (I had better seats than an MLB HoFamer??
Cool.).
His wife (internet research does not find a picture, but her name is apparently Destini, so I'm guessing she's an ex-stripper) is really really really hot - and young.
Their daughter (if it is theres, I dunno, I haven't been in the TC long enough to know he story of Molly's personal life) was about 4 and pretty cute.
Molly knew a lot of the words to The Wiggles' songs, BTW.
* No beer for sale.
That frigging sucked.
I was in desperate need of a couple cold ones, but I suppose I see why they did that.
* There's a pitching mound over in Rapid Park.
I couldn't see if there was a homeplate or not.
* There's a reason The Wiggles are the richest entertainers in Australia.
EVERY kid (including my own) had at least one piece of over-priced paraphenalia in their hands as they headed out of the show.
Probably close to 8000 in attendance, two shows on Friday, you do the math.
Not a bad gig.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

You are a glutton for punishment. If I had to sit through one of those shows I would have poked my own eyes out with hot coals. But I commend you for taking one for your offspring. At least you could stare at the jugs to keep your mind focused on something important.
Does that mean you missed the game?
As far as the Target Center, they will be the next ones with their hands out after Ziggy lands his new playhouse.

I really enjoyed having it on tape, so I could re-watch some of the highlights a couple times.

Re: The Wiggles LIVE and in concert
I took the kids to "Elmo in Grouchland" there last year I believe it was. Not a bad show for the kids, however the sound system was a complete joke. It was so horribly loud I am thinking half the kids in the place lost 25% of there hearing that day. It was so loud it gave me a headache after we left. Other than that I agree the Target center needs a major overhaul. This is why they no longer get the big name acts and the Xcel does.

Re: The Wiggles LIVE and in concert
My wife came home from that show with about $30 in wiggles junk that our son will probably never play with again.
The boy had a blast though, and Mom said it wasn't too bad for her either.
She doesn't mind them though and can actually sit through a movie of theirs on home.
Watching them gets me all light headed and nauseated.
They are way too flamboyant for my tastes.

What's next? An overnight field trip with Michael Jackson?
