Who would you take as the best QB/WR(s) tandem in history?

Who would you want to have on your team out of the following as the best QB/WR(s) team in history? And if there is a tandem NOT on here, say so...

Also, maybe give some reasons why you made your choice.

Gotta go with fran and rashad. For those out there old enough. Wow. Rice/montana was outstanding and rice/young. But Tark is the man.

Who would you take as the best QB/WR(s) tandem in history?

I had to go with Daunte and co. My reasoning behind this is... I'm still pretty young. I vaguely remember the greats like marino and young, but at that point in my life I was still playing with dolls and not yet a football fanatic!!

It was tough between Marino and Clayton/Duper and Montana/young Rice, but I went with Marino and co. 1984 was an incredible year for those guys.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

I went with Culpepper and Moss. Yeah, I'm a homer, but they're fun to watch! Montana/Rice were West Coast, and didn't do a lot of downfield passing, besides some of the Rice years were with Steve Young. Barring injury Culpepper and Moss will be together for a lot of years to come.

What if you had to pick the best tandem over one season?

If you are looking at careers, I would have to vote for either Montana/Rice or Bradshaw/Swann. Statistically, Montana and Rice proved time after time that they were, and always will be, one of the best combinations ever. However, I believe that Bradshaw/Swann are the funnest to watch (thank God for ESPN Classic). Swann was so incredibly talented and Bradshaw was an old-school trooper. It's definately smashmouth football at its best. On the other hand, if you are looking at single seasons, how can anyone overlook Kurt Warner with Holt/Bruce? They put up some numbers for a couple of years. Warner was pretty much a one or two year wonder, but while it lasted, it was amazing.

SOrry to say this but isint this poll kinda lame because of course everyone, almost everyone is going to vote for carter/moss/cully??? Doesnt make any sense since were all viking fans and were going to use our homerism and pick our trio.

It would make more sense if you got rid of the moss/carter/cully selection, then no one can pick the most obvious answer.

Just a suggestion for the near future for all the poll threads.

Actually a lot of people have voted for other choices.

I had to go with Bradshaw and Swann, even though our Vikes fell victim to them in Super Bowl IX. Bradshaw is one of my favorite QBs of all time and Lynn Swann was just plain amazing. Fran and Rashad would be a close second though. Receivers today have it easier than those guys, with the 5 yard bump rule.
