Or my personal favorite Madden player of all-time (not actually my real life favorite, but I loved him in Madden, which translated into real life) TROY WALTERS! Didn't you guys love him too?

That would seem obvious, but manning is on the cover of NFL Fever. I don't know if a player can appear on the cover for two different video games. Appearing on the cover of NFL Fever must have been a curse seeing as the Peytriots own that mo f'er. The Colts will be playing them on the road again next year.

They didn't put out a fever this year, and now that EA has exclusive rights to the NFL (and the AFL), I would imagine that Manning can do whatever he wants.

It also could depend on what they do to the game. In last years version, they focused on defense, so it made sense for them to put a defensive player on the cover. The year before they had the "playmaker" which benefited the offense, so it made sense to have a good young player who people would associate with being a playmaker, hence Vick. Who knows, maybe they will redo the punting in the game and put Mitch Berger on the cover.

Or the hero from the Jets/Steelers thriller, Doug Brien, lol.

I am just glad that Doug Brien is doing that to someone other than the Vikings now.
