After thinking about athletes from MN for awhile, I still am going with Bronko. But, Roger Maris has to be 2nd for me. He was born in Hibbing and later moved to Fargo. Most associate him with Fargo. He has a Hall of Fame with a lot of memorabilia there. My grandfather knew the family very well and I remember when Roger passed away. We were invited to the funeral. It was a sad day in Fargo.

It is a shame that he is not in the HoF!

Heck no! 275 career HR's. 2-time MVP. Lead the league in RBI's twice. Played in 7 World Series. .982 Field %.

This guy broke Babe Ruth's HR record, he has the WS rings, and he was a former MVP. Its a crying shame that he is not there!

The movie 61 was a great movie, if anyone hasn't seen it, it is highly recommended.

Unfortunately, Maris's career was too short (by HOF standards) to give him the boost he needed to get in...he was very good in his day, though!

I am going to have to disagree. The imprtance of his accomplishments overshadow the fact that he only played 12 years. Besides, 12 years should not be considered short.
