White?

Kinda what we debated on forever....but let me ask this:

There was no change to any color scheme in the forums, or placement of anything in this change over.
It was all about readability and blah blah on the public site so we can offer more services.

The single change was I dropped some purple to better match the public site.
The only purple missing is along the right in the Yell, and at top right below the "home Search", etc

All the other colorings are the same.

So, is this a case of subliminal group decision via early comments about the white?
Or is the slight growth in white space troublesome?
Most site have white backgrounds....why is it bothersome here?
Is it adjustment time, or should I darken even more than I did this morning based on early feedback.

I have slept about 1 hour in the last 24 working this thing since the server guys finally delivered my final server...so I might not tracking well.

So discuss only this issue here, skol.

I will be making the formal announcement of new features, etc tonight.

What I have noticed if that if you are in a long thread with many quoted replies, the white ends up being very long along the right side.

Generally, I think it's most likely a "get used to it" thing for folks, because we're so used to the purple background.

It may be a "get used to" thing, but it is definitely the first thing that I noticed and it does seem to take some adjustment of the eyes when going from the forums to the huddle.


Overall, the site looks great.

Browser = Mozilla

It is bright all the way down the right column.
It is too much.
It also blends in with the white on the main content in the center of the page.


Maybe just putting a border around
the BY and the Huddle and the Fans online will be enough to break it up.

I am not against making this specific area all purple of course.

Are there any options for controlling the look of the site?
I checked the options and they seemed to be the same as the old site.

I don't mind the white, but the "From the Huddle", "Berserker Yell" and "Fans Online" could maybe have some sort of background skin behind them.... other than that, I like the white.

I see there is some bordering, but the main thing is to give it a bit more contrast.

It is more distracting towards the bottom of the page when scrolled to the bottom.

I like the that better. still feels like home.

now it makes the font on the right side hard to read.

Font will be last change in my opinion.

My FTP connection here with COMCRAPTIC keeps dying so my uploads are only going in spurts.
Wil return the colors correctly.
See how we are that way.
