    He was a great quarterback when he had Chris Carter mentoring Moss.
    After Carter left, and Moss became a head case Culpepper was average at best.

    I don't know many pro athletes that would say " I am average at best"

    He has shown he can be elite. If he is going to talk I expect him to have confidence in his abilities and say things like you quoted.
