Re: What are your New Years resolutions?

I determined to manage two things this year. Firstly to stop biting my nails - which is a long long habit which needs to go ... now the season has finished I've a fighting chance of doing that
    ;D
Second is to lose weight - 40lb would be nice, then maybe I'll slimmer and silf-like for the PP.O gathering next season .. lol
So now to see if I can manage that
Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

Never been big on New Year's resolutions, however this year, I've got a bunch:

    Payoff my credit cards
Not drink any alcohol throughout at minimum Jan-Feb, which should help
Lose about 10 lbs of fat, which should help
Do 15 pull-ups in one set (I'm at about 6-7 right now)
    Buy a house
Do a better job at work which is why I have to go now.

Get into better shape (lose about 20 pounds or so)
    Start repairing my credit.
Be a better girlfriend to my boyfried.
I've noticed in the last 2 years (with a small break in the middle) we start getting comfortable with each other and we stop doing the little things for each other.
I'm going to bring that spark back into my relationship!

I'm going with "after today" also.

Smoking is a tough one . My workplace is a non-smoking campus as of Jan.1, so that will make it easier. I hope.
My workplace took it to an even higher level on January 1st stating "No cigarettes or tobacco are allowed on the property"

Meaning a person could get fired for having cigarettes, chewing tobacco or cigars in their vehicle.

I think they actually crossed a legal line with that policy.
Wow. I think that is over the line too. What are they going to do, search people's cars? Fricken anti-smoking Nazi's. Are they really doing this out of concern for employee health, or do they get a huge break on insurance premiums from it? I'm guessing there is some financial incentive or they wouldn't bother.

They don't get a financial incentive. The onus is put on the smoker. You have two choices, quit & join a free & clear program of which the cost of the program/patches are shared between the employee & employer or pay the additional $500 to smoke, but nowhere on land owned by the company.

Anyone is subject to a hair folical test at any time & if it comes out positive & you put down non-smoker on your insurance application, you can be fired.

That holds true for someone who quit smoking in the year or years before, but for some reason pick the habit up again. If they get caught, it could be bye, bye. They claim it's insurance fraud at that point.

I keep telling him "No loving" until she's wearing a ring.

But you & I both know how well Packer fans listen.
