What player has the biggest "15 minutes of Fame"?
Just thought I'd throw this out as a pre-draft question.
Who's the biggest no-name who had the biggest single moment inthe spotlight in NFL history? In other words, who is the biggest career backup that had a spectacular moment of heroism, just to return to mediocrity afterwards?
I was thinking of Ben Steele, who recovered that fumble (totally legally) against you last season...didn't do squat before that, or squat after, but was the toast of the town for a week.
Don Beebe is another I thought of...poking the ball out of Leon Lett's hand at the goal line in the Super Bowl.

I remember Via Sikahema on the Eagles ran back a TD on a kickoff and started punching the goal posts back in the mid-90's. Never heard from him again.
Jeff Hosteler of the Giants winning the Superbowl after Phil Simms went down with an injury. Don't think he did much after that.
Also, Trent Dilfer after winning the Superbowl with the Ravens. I think he is still the back-up at Seattle.
That is all I can think of at the moment.

The CB that had like 2 or three pics in the SB (Dallas vs. Pittsburn) like forever ago. I was a little kid but i remeber he got a big contract after that season.

Clint Longley,QB for Dallas in the 70's;lead a big comeback in a Thanksgiving game against the Redskins after Staubach was injured.
Don Beebe was a decent player,didn't he win a ring as a packer?

don't know his nae either but that makes him a good choice... i guess his 15 minutes weren't long enough...

How about Mark Rypien? I was young, but I remember that after he won the '91 Super Bowl, he went in the crapper.
