$120???????
That's nothing. Wait until you get married and then watch the costs rise. That's the REAL COST of making her yours.Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.

That's why Valentine's Day is Bull-ish, I'd rather take my girl out when it means something then do it because you feel obligated to on a Hallmark holiday.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

I got my fiance a card, and took her out to her favorite restaurant which is Red Lobster.. I usually get her roses delivered to her at work, but this year is different in that we are getting married in June..

They are using the wrong parameter, if you're relying on the amount of money spent to indicate a successful day the battle is already lost.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

The wife and I do nothing for birthdays, valentines, holidays......no presents, no flowers, no candy..... Now for our kids we buy gifts and such but for each other we do not and it's been 6 years so far and life has been swell.

Re: What it costs to say ‘be mine’
Most I ever spent on Valentine's Day was like 50 or 60 bucks. The best Valentine's Day ever though was my Jr. year of high school. My girlfriend and I were together for about a year at the time, so I really thought I was in for it.
So she tells me she doesn't want anything and she just wants to volunteer at the rescue mission and that was her present! It was great.
