Re: Watchmen (ATTN: comic book geeks)
I saw it.
I thought it was good.
They changed a couple things from the book (mostly minor ones except for one).
It wasn't quite as good as the book, but it was still a very good movie.
The parts that they got right, they NAILED.
8.3 out of 10.

Re: Watchmen (ATTN: comic book geeks)
I'd never read the comic, but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.
I actually went in thinking that I wouldn't like it very much, but as it turns out it was a pretty good one!

Re: Watchmen (ATTN: comic book geeks)
As a fan of the book, I really enjoyed the movie and the way it stayed as close as possible to the source. I even preferred the ending in the movie to the book, which I always thought was a little dumb (I wont spoil it for those who havent seen it/read it)
As a movie fan, I thought it could have been a little bit shorter as it dragged in places, but apart from that enjoyed it

Re: Watchmen (ATTN: comic book geeks)
I went to see it on friday night. I never read the books, or knew anything about the movie going into it. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. Some of it they could have done differently, but I liked it. The ending was pretty good and was nice that it actually wrapped up.
*Spoilers*
I would have liked to see maybe one more scene on Dr. Manhatton where ever he went to, just to see what he was doing.
*End Spoilers*
Also, The Comedian was the sweetest character.
And obviously, I enjoyed the tits. We're bringing purple back.

Re:Watchmen (ATTN: comic book geeks)
Just watched this movie for the first time today.
It was good, it started really strong. The opening credits set to Dylan's "The Times they are A-Changin" were absolutely great, the best part of the movie IMO(unfortunately.) The whole soundtrack was good, the movie itself could have been better I suppose, but it was definitely worth seeing and I enjoyed it. I never read the graphic novel so I can't make comparisons.
Rorshachs death
was good, the Dr Manhattan interview/press conference was great. I loved some of the quotes throughout.
Definitely an enjoyable movie.

"Miracles. Events with astronomical odds of occurring, like oxygen turning into gold. I've longed to witness such an event, and yet I neglect that in human coupling. Millions upon millions of cells compete to create life, for generation after generation until, finally, your mother loves a man. Edward Blake, the Comedian, a man she has every reason to hate, and out of that contradiction, against unfathomable odds, it's you - only you - that emerged, to distill so specific a form from all that chaos. It's like turning air into gold. A miracle."
