Hey, Europeans -
Just had a buddy take an expat opportunity in Amsterdam.
He's a HUGE Buffalo Sabres fan and wants to watch the playoffs while over there.
What are his options?
Thanks,

i know there are bars in Amsterdam which show Nfl, don't know about nhl though
Maybe that the tv in his room had cable tv then he could watch NASN the North American Sports Channel. i'll look the list with bars up
Alot of bars that are on the Rembrandts square ( Rembrand Plein in Dutch )
otherwise there are a few bars are on the Damrak
that's all i could find but my buddy said that he just could ask, there are alot of irish pubs around that Area
Also check the hotel room TV channels - with the time difference ( +6 hrs ) then he may find them on the regular channels.

As of now, his hotel cable does not carry NASN.

The time difference is a killer for hockey. It's on at 4.30am if I remember correctly.
NASN is what you'd probably need here, unless you're going to try and find one of those internet streaming services.
i don't give him much chance watching the game at a bar if it's at 4:30 as Cogitans stated. but the only other option then is try to look up a Tv stream on the internet
