Was VIKINGSTW a Millerite? warning, long&boring
In the 1800's William Miller, a farmer from New York, interpreted the book of revelation in a new way.
As was common in the second great awakening, he developed his own religious sect with a robust following.
Miller predicted the world would end with the second coming of Jesus in March of 1843.
Many of his followers gave away all their belongings and stood in robes on that day, awaiting their salvation.
When jesus failed to show, Miller claimed he made an error in calculating the date due to the year between BC and AD.
He set the date back one year.
When Jesus didn't appear in 1844, the date was adjusted two more times with the same result.
By then, many followers had bailed on Millers religous sect, but not all.
The Millerites changed their theory and their name.
They claimed Jesus had returned in spirit but not in the flesh. Thus ending the need to set dates.
And they called themselves the Adventists.
The Adventists are still among us today.
David Koresh of Waco fame, had been an Adventist.

The answer is much simpler.

Didn't the same thing happen to Jehovah's Witnesses? They kept pushing back the date of the apocalypse, but it never happened.
Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

I was just struck with a dose of off season boredom and am trying to get something going involving my friend TW.
I hate admit I miss his manic phase, somewhat.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

He'll always be a member at some point or another, he has registered countless times and is eventually found out. He can only hide for so long. I'm sure this thread is driving him crazy(ier) at this very moment.

He had this habit of insulting and talking down to everyone within the first couple sentences of his rant.
He also used words he didn't know how to spell, nor their meaning for that matter.
He was redundant in his air of superiority.
I miss that air. The only guy we can get that from now is Prophet.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

ATLANTA — About a quarter of the swine flu vaccine produced for the U.S. public has expired — meaning that a whopping 40 million doses worth about $260 million are being written off as trash.
