Are Vikings Fans Hypocritical??? (The Douche Bag Thread..PP.O Death Watch)

How can some Vikings fans want the Queen Cheesehead after hating him for so long and making fun of him?

I'm don't understand, it makes no sense to me

All fans are hypocritical ... at least a large majority are. Just the nature of being a fan. Kind of like all non-Giants fans who hated Barry Bonds all those years ... but would have more-than-likely welcomed him with open arms if it helped them win.

I do not fall in this category. I would ... and yes the is the truth ... rather LOSE in the DIVISIONAL round without Favre than WIN THE SUPER BOWL with him.
That sounds crazy!? It is the truth. I want nothing to do with him. It would be interesting a fun ... definitely ... but we do not need a Packer castoff to guide us to the promised land. We will get there on our own ... eventually.

If we could have gotten him in his prime then Yes i wouldn't mind having him, but he is not worth what we would have to give up for him.

I hate The packers thus i hate anyone who plays for them. I didn't like sharper when he was on the pack, but i like him now that he is with us, same with Longwell. Hate the Team not the Player, I hate what that players stood for, not for who he was.

I don't want him, simply because I don't believe in the "win at any cost" mentality that's so prevalent in professional sports.

Well, we had Jim McMahon from da bears. And Randall Cunningham from the eagles.
If the pack doesn't want this guy, what did you say his name was?, we could probably take him.

It definitely is not the same as McMahon and/or Cunningham. Both of those guys were "washed up" and came in as backups before taking over the starting roles. Both were five or six years removed from their prime and both were feel good stories as they got a second wind as starters in Minnesota.
By the way ... we had McMahon from the EAGLES and Cunningham from FREE AGENCY (he had taken a whole year off prior to coming to us).

The "ham" AKA "Tile-Cutter" was awesome. McMahon was one of my earlist , foul, memories about the team I root for. EWWWW! Made my stomach turn. Must be the rivalry thing.

I hated him too. The head band was one thing. But the way he would bomb our pathetic defense at times was horrendous.

    Re: Are Vikings Fans Hypocritical???

As I posted in another thread. It looks like this drama is over. Drew Rosenhaus and Thompson agreed on ESPN's NFL Live that Brett would come back to Packer's training camp and work to keep his starting position. So it looks like there will be no retirement party at the first game.
