Wow, that is crazy!
Underneath the video clip, there are others. Watch the one titled "911 Joke" about a police dispatcher.

that's a hard question to answer, the whole story, there's a bigger thread on it under 'so you think soccer is safe?' but it got a little off topic.i saw that, that was crazy. what is the whole story behind that? I just saw a quick clip of it on espn
here's the best of that thread in one post
"Don't think anyone was arrested, the governing body in Europe ( UEFA ) are looking into this and there is the chance of fines for the club and playing games behind closed doors.
Looking at footage of games in Italy before then taking flares and similar into games is a fairly standard thing for the fans.
Very strange thing to allow"
"The Italian fans are well known for doing this, as well as racist chanting, and they always get away with it."
"I think Inter might well be not able to play their home games in the san siro for a little bit, thats a punishment UEFA have used before and it seems suitable here. If it was an English team that did it you just know that they would have done something amazing like ban all english teams from europe next season though."
" think one of them summed it up well by saying this kind of thing is caused by the fact that soccer dominates europe so much, its really the only sport that matters here. if you take all the passion and intensity in america for the nfl, mlb, nba, nhl and all the college sports, rolled together into one sport, that is pretty much what it is like here. that kind of domination leads to it becoming just so massive and intense, bigger than religion and people go way over the top sometimes."
i think that lot is as close as you can get to knowing the whole story without reading for about 15 years.

Re: video of the goalie getting a flare shot at him
the punishment has been given by UEFA, the european governing body, their next 6 games in European competitions will have to be played in empty stadiums, i guess the Italian assocation will also add something else on.
