I love how the institutions that are supposed to teach us to think stick so rigidly to the rules they are prevented from thinking themselves

Why the hell was an 18 year old man blowing kisses in the first place?
Should have been beaten by his ol' man, not denied a diploma.

Was he actually denied the diploma, or just didn't get to recieve it in the line.
I just skimmed the article, but my guess is he still graduated with a diploma.

    Stupid.
But so is the fact that there was enough poor behavior in years past to warrant a rule like that.
It is an overreaction to poor behavior, making both the administration and student body at fault here.

It is kind of like the NFL rule on having stuff on your uniform or the endzone celebrations. It has to be the same for everyone and be clear cut ruling.

Here is a Link with the video of the poor behavior in question, Superintendent Suzanne Lukas has some power issues.

interesting comment at the bottom of the page
My daugher not only earned Honor Cords but other cords as well for such things as academic mentoring and was told not to wear them at the graduation...ummm hellooo I think I missed why they even get them! Aren't the cords received to distinguish those who participated in certain activities?? Aren't they SUPPOSED to be worn at graduation??? If not why bother??
and the final straw for me was when my daughter went to receive her diploma she was asked, " do you deserve this diploma?"
