I can't wait to turn 21, as soon as I do that's the first place I'm hittin' up!

unfortunatley had some locals try to mug me and my brother, but we got away when some people came round the corner, that was between the main strip and the stratosphere,

I don't know what lead to this, except that you were in the wrong place. My point is this; don't try and catch a cab on the street/don't walk further than Treasure Island/don't cross the street at Bellagio (take the tram and/or walkway) and spend the extra couple bucks to have a concierge get you a cab/limo. Trust me, it isn't that much extra. I've made all the mistakes already, I am lucky it all turned out good for me.

Best advise, skip the strip. Rent a bicycle and ride through the desert.
