It is really frustrating to watch USA soccer on a regular basis. They come out play an exceptional match against teams like Argentina (or the tie against Italy in the World Cup a couple of years ago) and then lay eggs against England. It is really tough. They have some talent, but need to find some sort of consistency.

I think it's tough for the US because they only play difficult competitve games in the actual finals of tournaments. European, African and South American teams have to play through tough groups just to qualify.
