Re: Underground rap discussion
I don't recognize most of those cept for atmosphere and Buck 65, who are both good. You should listen to Classified or k-os (who isn't underground, but I get the feeling he doesn't get recognition in the US, even though he is about 1000 times better than fitty scent) for some real canadian rap.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Re: Underground rap discussion
i view mainstream rap as basically the worst.. nevermind.. wont get into it.
with that being said, i like some underground rap."There is good and there is evil. And evil must be punished. Even in the face of Armageddon I will not compromise."

Re: Underground rap discussion
My favorites are Canibus, Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique, Tech N9ne-dont know if he is really underground though, Royce Da 5'9", and Kutt Calhoun. Jedi Mind Tricks cd Visions of Ghandi, Techs Anghellic, and Royce Da 5'9"s Death is Certain are some of the best CD's I've ever heard
MC's run away when I kick it
They act so chicken, they should come with a large drink and a biscuit

Re: Underground rap discussion
hmmmm
does blackalicious count as underground? Or deltron 20/20? They are played on my local college radio station, but who knows if that's underground. I haven't bothered to listen to a commercial radio station in probably 5 years.
Well, no matter.
I'm a fan of blackalicious, J5, and del. While he's by no means a rap artist, Michael Franti has been putting out quality music and fantastic shows for years now.
