Thread: Ultra is outta here!

Got your attention?
I guess that is a misleading title; however I do have a "wink" for the message icon.

It's been a great couple of weeks.

First, my wife works for a company called "Sterling".
They are owned by Signet of the UK.
They are the largest retailer of fine jewels in the world.
Every year they hand out 10-12 Excellance Awards to people.
Out of the thousands that are employed, my wife won one of those awards.
One of the gifts is a 7-day (all expense paid) Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas (the largest cruise ship in the world).
So, we leave tomorrow morning for our vacation.

Second, I finished my degree last August and moved into the electrical part of the company I have been working with for the past 10 years.
What we do there is not really what I want to do.
The job just started dragging me down and I was pretty depressed for the longest time.
I search daily for other job opportunities and came up with nothing for awhile.
I saw that our local electric company had a great position open.
I applied, tested, and interviewed and got the job.
They are a Fortune 200 company, the 6th largest public utility in the US.
The pay is outstanding as are the benefits.
I really got lucky with this one.


So, yesterday (Friday) was my last day at my old job.
Now I go on a cruise and relax for a week, then start my new career with a ton of opportunities the Monday after I get back.
I feel that I have been truly blessed.

So, I will be out of the loop for a week.
I will try and check-in here and there.
