TWolves and the FA Class of 2010
IDK how many are Twolves fans on here but I am very interested in them and the 2010 FA class.
Now obviously guys like Wade, LeBron, and Bosh are kind of out of the picture, but I think we could make some legit noise with the 2nd and 3rd tier players available.
Some guys who intrigue me for the Twolves...
Rudy Gay
Joe Johnson
John Salmons
Josh Howard
Linas Kleiza
Luis Scola
Shannon Brown (Really think he will follow coach into Minny)
David Lee
Al Harrington
Amare (doubt it but maybe)
Manu Ginobili
If we could I would love to get Lamarcus Aldridge but he is an RFA and i think portland really wants him.

Why are Wade Lebron and Bosh out of the picture, we have as much cap space and draft picks as anybody.

Because Wade, Lebron, and Bosh know better than to come play in Minnesota.
Why sign a 150M contract in MN when you can sign a 150M contract in a bigger market, possibly with better weather?

Because this is Minnesota.
No way in hell they will come here.
LeBron Wade and Bosh are going to want to be on the coasts.
Bosh is the only one we could possibly get, but we already are pretty set at PF and need to address SG,SF, and C first.

Then give them 200M. I just don't see it, big names have signed here before, the team has to look at all it's options, can't be defeated before starting.

5 Reasons...
Marketability (Including endorsements, LBJ in NY or CLE is much bigger than LBJ in Minny)
Biddies (fine ass women, and while im sure Minny has plenty of fine honeys, on the coast you get that in nice tight bikinis and beaches.
Big plus)
Weather
Bros (Whose LeBron gunna chill wit in Minny besides AD.
In NY he gets to hangout with much more celebs including his best bud HOVA)
Street Cred (Aint no one reppin an MN on they brims.
Its all NY, ATL, MIAMI, LAX.

I'm not saying they shouldn't try...but it's goign to be an almost impossible sell.
Even if we offer them more money they still have to agree to come play with rookie/crap talent and likely give up on any realistic title shot...at least for a few years.
Seems the new flavor of the NBA is a supporting cast of all-stars.
Re: TWolves and the FA Class of 2010
Besides, I think I'd rather have a couple of star potential players than LBJ or Wade (were not gonna get a title with only one anyway).
For our situation, resigning Big AL and then going after a Rudy Gay, Joe Johnson, or someone of that caliber player is more beneficial.

Still not going to get a title, but yeah...I definitely see your point.
