It has nothing to do with KG going, it has a lot to do with promoting one of the assistant coaches.


It has never really felt like Casey had a hold on this team.

It is weird that they fire him after winning 7 of the last 11 games.
McHale probably feels that at this point, Whittman can do a better job.

Chad Hartman and Mark Rosen (on Hartman's show at 4pm on KFAN) both talked about how McHale and Glen Taylor both think this team should be 25-15 or something rather than .500 and that's why Casey got the boot.
Both of them disagreed.

casey was not a great coach by any standard, but the reason he is gone is for mchale and taylor to ONCE AGAIN deflect all the negative media attention elsewhere by naming a scapegoat

Incase I'm not clear, I hate McHale, Taylor needs to make some changes or sell the team, and Casey wasn't the greatest, but he shouldn't have been fired.

Well with Taylor & McHale thinking that the Wolves are "underachievers" it just shows that he's delusional. Alright, lets see. You play in the hardest conference with powerhouses like Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Antonio, Dallas, etc. And you put together a roster with high hopes for a superstar (KG), a rising superstar (Foye) that you keep on the bench, and a bunch of over-achievers with big contracts.

Mike James was great last season, in Toronto (key word is Toronto). Who else did Toronto have to take the shots? NOBODY! Casey said in an interview a few weeks ago that the whole organization is frustrated with James because of his success in Toronto not translating to Minnesota. Well durr. You have Mike James who's a "scoring" point guard? Lets see his scoring in his career. He only averaged about 10 points per game before last season (which he averaged 20). He's not a real scorer. Honestly, why pay a guy who overachieved for 1 season? Because you're not very bright?

Umm, Marko Jaric? For Cassell & a first rounder? WTF? That is a horrible deal, most GM's
wouldn't trade Cassell straight up for Jaric but add a 1st rounder? And take his HUGE contract? What a bunch of retards.

Firing Flip Saunders in the first place was a complete joke!

I won't even begin with the Joe Smith scandal. But he should've been fired at that point.

This team makes it hard to be a fan. But who would've thought that Dwayne Casey getting fired would fire me up so much.
