Thread: In two weeks I start my training..

Something I've always wanted to do, and now has come true, is to be an Offical for youth football at the High School Level..

Well today, in the mail, I received my acceptence letter to train with and be a part of the CCAFO.

This is the Central Connecticut area group that oversees all public and private High School football games.

Also they cover all Midget,JV,and Senior squads of High School Football.

I'm so pumped right now, I want to go out and play some football in the snow.... :lol:

when my son was 8 I used to work the chain gang for football and the refs were late for a game and they made me a lineman until they showed up, was lots of fun, hope you have a blast and don't have to release the boot on anyone :grin:

High School football around here is a big deal, and lots of schools have been putting up lighting systems for the past 10 years......So Friday night games are now a really big deal and a nice night out with the family.

I just can't wait to work with the youth and coaches and add my enthusiasum to the game.....

PS: I don't think they'de let me wear my boots on the field, I'll have to go get some new spikes.... :grin:

Congratulations Ned! Im happy that you will get the chance to do something you really will enjoy!! My uncle is trying to get me to be asst. coach for my little cousins baseball teams. I think it will be so much fun, but I have doubts about those boys actually listening to me! lol

Haha, I have tons of respect for you man. I know I could never be an official, those guys take way too much abuse.
