Air traffic controllers "saw sparks coming from the runway -- whether that was from the aircraft or its engines, we don't know," Bergen said Saturday.

"They overran the end of runway 11. They impacted the antenna array and a number of lights at the end of the runway. They went through the perimeter fence and across the roadway here," said NTSB spokeswoman Debbie Hersman, briefing reporters on Saturday. "There was a significant post-crash fire."

I was bummed to hear this on the news. I was a big fan of Blink-182 years ago although I haven't followed what Travis has been up to since then. I'm definately glad to hear he is alive...sad for those who didn't make it.
I heard that he and Adam are suffering from some pretty severe burns so it sounds like it may be a long recovery process.

There seems to be a much bigger chance of crashing in a smaller airplane than the big commercial jets, If I was ever in a position to travel by private jet I think I would probably pass.

My woman tells me that they both just played a show together (Fashion Rocks?).
She also said that the DJ's Nicole Ritchie's fiancee.

I am a teacher, and some of my kids just did a presentation on one of Travis' songs.
I was going to comment on how I thought that he was one of rock's best drummers but I held back.
Check out his tracks with Blink , Boxcar, etc.
he's an unreal drummer.
I wish him and his family all the best.

according to the hospital, they are both out of the ccu and are in icu which is a lower level. the doctor has said that they will both make it through even though they both had alot of 3rd degree burns.
