Toddler OK after pencil lodges through his neck

18-month-old found it on playground; it barely missed his carotid artery

    Wow, lucky kid.

Why in the world did the father stop at red lights on the way? I'd be blowing through traffic at the first safe opening at any light.

    No kidding.

I've ran through the trip to the hospital from my house many times in my head.
(Had a few choking incidents with the 3 year old).
We live about 1.5 from the hospital and you can bet your ass I'm not stopping at any lights that don't risk getting hit by somebody.
    Pedestrians beware!
My kid's life is more important to me than yours...stay out of my way.
