this is a great trade..theres no chance howard picks up his option after this coming season, and he will go play for a contender..instead of paying mike james 6 mil a year for 3 more years of stealing randy foyes playing time, we get howard for 1 year..this erases the mistake we made of signing james last season

now we have 2 expiring contracts (howard, davis) that can be used as trade bait around the trade deadline, or before the draft if we want to package the #7 pick

Not thrilled about this trade, but atleast we made a move and got another big man while trading one of our (seems like) countless guards and a little used forward.

The thing that doesn't sit well with me is that the Wolves are supposedly interested in Joakim Noah. Ughhhh. I'm hoping we add more of an offensive threat in the draft and not just somebody that is going to get in the way of the others.
