Re: Thread Hijacking & Off Color Commentary
Thanks webby, it was needed. Could you clarify your intentions before someone takes it too far? Occasionally we'll see a post from someone who hasn't posted in awhile, or someone changes their avatar, etc. I would assume that we can say hi, or briefly comment at those times, even though it may change the subject. Is that a reasonable and correct assumption?

Nice Webby,
I think the addition of the new threads will greatly increase the chances of what your trying to do, to actually happen..
That was some fine thinking on your part....

Absolutely. Again, the issue is letting people get at what they want to get at and discuss without being inundated with crazy stuff. If you are wondering about thread hijacks, just remember SamDawg. You would be posting about Daunte and he'd start bitching about the weather and school. That kind of stuff
It will help to view the entire forums as the community, not just one forum topic. When you visit many areas of interest, then we all still get the big community feeling....but that way folks more interested in football, then that all they go see. For the rest of us who feel more like friends and family on here, we can discuss myriads of things in many places!
So view this as a positive, and just a different way to reinforce the idea of respecting each other. SKOL!

Re: Thread Hijacking & Off Color Commentary
One of the very, very best epiphanys (poor choice of words considering what Caine calls Red) of mine on this site came when I hijacked a thread...I have no idea which one it was...but I hijacked it to be a "tell the idiot from Utah why Red sucks thread". I didnt' mean to really, just was on my mind, and a LOT of others it seems (obviously this was a couple years ago).
I made another thread just for that....but almost everyone seemed to have gotten it outta their systems, and I learned a lot in the hijacked one.
So that progression is ok, Webby? Just the crazy stuff Hijacking that is bad?

Dang I missed the biggest boobies Moss banged thread. :razz:Look at it this way: if the thread is about Moss and his injuries, then it shouldn't be about who has the biggest boobies that he banged.

I agree webby and I'm sure I'm at fault for things getting of course (for those rare times that I'm able to show up). Hopefully I'll get to be around some more when I get a computer so I can help regulate!!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!
