Thoughts on the 2008 grammy's
From the little that I saw, it was
...seems like the same ppl kept winning all of the awards. I am so totally
that the biggest award of the night went to a jazz singer!
8)! That was a first, eh?
Beyonce/Tina Turner performance was

...I was definately expecting a little something MORE than what was presented (especially after all the hype). And what was w/ Amy Winehouse ??? Did any of ya catch her performance? I've never really be into her "kind" of music, so I decided to sit through the performance of "rehab" and "i'm no good"... :-[ That's all I can say about it. I was

I thought Rihanna's performance was

Re: Thoughts on the 2008 grammy's
I didn't watch it because I have absolutely zero respect for the Grammys.... however, I heard they gave an award to THE BAND... one of my absolute favorites of all time. I still hate the Grammys... but at least they got something right.
Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

Re: Thoughts on the 2008 grammy's
I watched a few minutes of the Grammys. Alicia Keys is beautiful. I got to see Feist, who I really like. She was pretty good, did a slightly different version of 1-2-3-4. I appreciate when artists vary their performances.

Re: Thoughts on the 2008 grammy's
I liked Amy Winehouse.
the fact that she is odd makes her interesting.
And her little dances were retro-like -- something you'd see from Nancy Sinatra back in the day.
Feist slowed down her already pretty slow song which ruined it IMO.
It was entertaining, what I saw -- about the last hour of it.
I don't like it when they combine artists that have nothing to do with each other.
lastly, i loved CCR as a kid, but not enough to have a whole 15 minutes featuring dan folgerty?
and he didn't even play one of the better songs.

Re: Thoughts on the 2008 grammy's
I saw the show and IMO...
It was cool to see Morris Day and the Time perform. I've always liked them.
Amy Winehouse is talented but has an obvious drug and/or alcohol problem.
Kanye West is an jiggly butt (no surprise there).
Jerry Lee Lewis is as old as dirt.
That Herbie Hancock win was quite a surprise.Even babies know the difference.
