What I do and would suggest for you to try also is to hook up for an evening or two with a fellow PPO member who lives in the area, or is going to be in the area themselves and hit the city together.
Some guys, like Singer, stay the evening before the game in or near the city and sometimes he and other members try to have a get together at some restaurant/cafe the night before the game, for dinner and conversations, can be worth your time to post a wanted add and see who might be around to meet up with.
The mall is just a ride on the rail away from you, quick and easy.

Like you've already mentioned, look into some bands playing nearby, a night of music is always a nice way to relax.
Don't know about you, but I love museum's, especially science and historically based museums. Look into it, has to be some in Minneapolis and St Paul city's..
I Hope you like beef, there is some really great Steak houses in the city' Pick NE out and go pamper yourself.
Look into player owned clubs, maybe you will get lucky and meet some players of today or past players.
I hate to say it, Pizza has always been a big strike out for me in the city's of MN and for most places in the mid and upper west part of the USA.
Maybe I'm spoiled being from Connecticut on the East coast, where we have some of the best pizza houses to be found in the country, if you ask me.
maybe a matter of taste, but I've yet to have a pizza in MN that I couldn't live without having again. One I actually took a bit of and put the rest in the trash can.
Please don't judge our pizza on the pizza's you find there.
But then again, maybe you will like it yourself. Good Luck on that topic.
Bottom line, kick back and relax, have a great time and take lots of pictures for memory's.
Hope you have a great trip and your going to catch a great match-up with it being a Bears game. that alone makes it worth the trip....
And definitely, don't forget to get your English Cheeks to the Tailgate party and meet all your PPO Family there.
Enjoy your visit to the USA,
Ned

Go to Red Savoy's pizza in St. Paul, now. It is THE BEST pizza I have ever eaten, and I've gone to many pizza joints in NY, Boston, and Chicago.

I believe you can get some bangers and mash or kippers there, as well.
I can't vouch for their Shepherd's Pie or cucumber sandwiches, however.

Go streaking at the metrodome.

The only way you are going to make this game more appealing to the public than it was before is if there are on field orgies at halftime and the domes become massive opium dens."
