is there a ps2 or cd rom war game out there?

i am looking for a game that is more about strategy, like i was the general planning an attack or defense. is there a game out there like this? [i love playing risk and games like that]

Ok this is weird I was just talking to my graphic artists about the same thing.
We are looking right now.

I just started playing Battlefront last night.
We picked it up new for 14.99 at Wal-Mart

Seems decent.
But it just doesn't fill the need to conquer.

Yeap it is.

I will tell you that Ghost Recon is an Awesome game in my "humble" opinion.
Ghost Recon 2 is not as good as the first 2 Ghost games(Desert Seige, Jungle Storm).

But for a shooter game it is great.
GR2 has soldiers that go with on missions you like the first 2 games but they are worthless. I swear I have to shoot them and take their weapons just to survive.
And they are the biggest cowards about taking point in the mission.
So I tend to shoot them for not following orders too.

Or get some Clancy's Raven Shield 3. That's a fun one, we could all get on a server and kill each other...................

Sid Meier's Civilization. Best strategy game that ever was created. War is part of your strategy, but as in real geopolitics, you have to balance hard power with soft.

It's an unbelievable game.

Oh I thought you were asking for PS2 games or Computer games, I am not sure if they have Command and Conquer for PS2? I think they might.

Now that sounds fun!

Yeah I have a dedicated server set up allready and a teamspeak server. Me and a few friends used to shoot it up on Raven Shield 3 but I haven't for a while.

I think the game is like 20$ now, it's fun. Let me know if any of you guys would want to get on and shoot it up, you can do a co-op or you can just go all out death match.
