Thanks davike For a Great Weekend !
For those not aware, the family of davike owns, and operates, a nice resort about 3-1/2 hours from the Twin Cities Area, called Breezy Point.
It’s just west of Park Rapids in Osage, MN.
They offered my family a special PP.O deal this past weekend.
I asked Webby and he said it would be o.k. if I created a thread with my experience, some info on their resort, and also mention that the offer is open to other PP.Oer’s.
They’re open year around, with activities for every season… i.e. some of the summer activities and amenities include an outside pool table, horseshoes, fishing boats, pontoons, canoes, kayaks, and water bikes, along with a very nice beach and also public access right next to the resort.
The place is absolutely amazing, with all of their cabins and log homes directly on Straight Lake.
For reference this is them:
http://www.breezypoint.com/ but I’ve attached a few of my pictures:

Some lake views with cabins (the first 2 pics were where I stayed):

By the way, the fishing is great with Sunfish, Crappies, Bass, Northern, Walleye, etc.
Davikes family built the majority of the cabins and the craftsmanship is first class, this was the interior of my lakehome:

Once you’re there you won’t want to leave, but if you get restless there’s plenty of stuff to do in the area.
We went to Itasca State Park, and the headwaters of the Mississippi River, which is only a 30 minute drive.
Also, davike and his entire family, including his father, mother and sisters, are very friendly, and wonderful hosts.
Check it out for a fun getaway for family and friends.
You won't be disappointed.
You might want to contact davike to book it, as he would check into availability and confirm the PP.O deal.

Re: Thanks davike For a Great Weekend !
Looks like a beautiful place & am glad you had a great time.
Also looks like a great place to have a weekend PP.O gathering during the offseason.
Do they have camping facilities or is it all cabins?

Man, that looks sweet!
I used to spend every weekend in the lake country as a boy.
I swear I have been there for something.
