Re: Teachers stage fake gunman attack on sixth graders

That's a brilliant idea. Every school and business place should have random shooter day.

Then Budweiser could make one of those cool radio commercials about it.

"This ones for you, Mr. Random shooter guy. Mr. Random workplace and school shooooooter guyyyyyy!

    Bunch of geniuses.

Re: Teachers stage fake gunman attack on sixth graders

last year when i was in hs we had "lockdown" drills where we pretended there was someone in the school and all that but no one took em serious, i think 6th grade is a little young, but i think this type of drill would be alright if it was done in HS

    Thanks josdin00

    Exactly.
I'm not proposing that we go out and scare the shit out of our young kids, but at some point they must be taught how to deal with life situations.

I find it very refreshing that your school has already done this sort of thing.
Maybe in light of what is going on in the world you should take them a bit seriously

Do you remember the nuclear bomb drills?

    How positive were those?

Anyone out there have any long term mental affects from hidding under your desk when that alarm went off?

I lived through them I am sure these kids, no matter how coddled they are these days, will live through this.
I always wanted to know how hiding under a desk was going to protect you from radiation and being melted.

I got in trouble with a teacher for raising that argument.
I said I would rather be melted to the chair because my shirt would leave cool patterns and make it easier for the investigation and ID.
She sent me to the principal's office after the drill and he laughed and let me hang out for a little while before he sent me back to the classroom.
    ROTFL!!!!
