The Supercross/Motocross Thread
I'm just sitting here watching the Speed Network's replay of the supercross event at the Metrodome and was wondering if we had members here that were into this stuff and have been to one.
The LCQ highlights were pretty sick...a lot of crashes in the last lap.
My dad has been racing since I was a kid.
I tried to race a few years back but ended up breaking my collarbone and messing up my back, so I decided to find safer hobbies (like PP.O and poker 8)).
I still like to watch the races, especially the 125 class because most of those kids are still trying to make a name for themselves.
Here are some picks from the dome event on the 15th:

Re: The Supercross/Motocross Thread
I met Erin Bates when she was here in Fairbanks a while back for our state championship series.
I had a signed poster that mysteriously disappeared when my now wife moved in with me.
Hmmm....

We are fans of Supercross/Motocross
and go when we get the chance.
It is alot more fun to watch then NASCAR!
I was a big fan of R.C. and wish he was still racing.
We also ride alot.

Hmm...doubt it's Jason Lawrence, he would be too young.
Maybe Jason Thomas, but it says he's from FL.
Maybe that's just where he trains.

Way better than NASCAR.
These riders aren't in protective cages when they hit each other, sometimes 40 feet in the air. :o
Yeah, R.C. is amazing.
My dad got to go watch his last outdoor race.
I have only been to one pro supercross race back in the early 90s over on Oahu.
It was pretty awesome.
What kind of bikes do you all ride?
My first was a 00 KTM 125 and then I had a 250 that was slightly older than that one.
My last bike was a KX125, but if I ever decide to get another I think I'll go to a 450 4-stroke, either Honda or another KTM.
Those are nice bikes!
