    THE "STEVE DEBERG" G!!!

Just thought that I would pull that one out of mothballs....I always liked the guy, stepped in and led teams through tough times, took the knocks, groomed several heir apparents and never got any credit...much like Chris Chandler did for Steve McNair, Michael Vick and others. Dude was still suiting up at 44, gotta give him some props for that.

Anyway, for those newbies who don't understand what this is all about...Steve DeBerg's number was #17...and if you look at my post total, you will begin to understand. I do this every time...usually picking a Viking player, but when there isn't one that is well known or that uses the next number, then I pick someone else. BTW, the first QB that DeBerg helped groom was none other than Joe Cool, arguably the greatest QB to play in the NFL (and my pick for sure, although Sir Francis will always be my favorite QB of all time).

    DeBerg groomed Namath?

Congratulations on the milestone my friend.

I'll be looking forward to seeing you at a tailgate party again this year.

Hopefully we can coax your wife out of the motorhome this year.

Congrats on the milestone Cajun, and Steve DeBerg was a servicable QB who had a propencity to fumble a bit.

At the going rate, it would take 8.9 years.

    But it can be done!
