Thread: To the State of Texas

Dear State of Texas,

I do not need any assesing, I know my skills... The Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) is going on this week.

I'm appalled!! A 70 question test, containing questions about the Chuu family and how many apples a minute the can package. Or what the area of the circle is after i increase the radius by 4, then divide by one half pi!!!

RIDICULOUS!!!

What do they have in Minnesota, and did you 'older members' have to do this.. (not counting SAT)

I graduated high school in Texas in '96 and had to take a similiar test called the TASP test. I remember it being fairly easy to pass. I think it is mainly used to weed out the students that are really behind in school. Everyone has to pass it in Texas so just get it over with. If you do fail I think they let you re-take it, but you really should do fine.

Most of these tests are used to find the complete dumbasses that didn't learn anything in school.

it's just a bunch of busy work to me.. uuugh

AP is for losers, IB is where it's at. (Well....not really) :P
