Re: Stamp prices to go up Monday

I went fishing for mothers day.

The wife took the kids to church.

All was right in the world.

Print is dead, the Postal Service died with it. The general public just hasn't caught on to the fact yet.
You didn't send a Mother's Day car to your grandma?

I haven't had living grandparents since high school.

I saw my mom. Took her to breakfast and gave her flowers and a card.
You're not a true son unless you sent her a card that was enclosed in a stamped envelope.

LMAO! There's my laugh for the day.

The postal service is becoming unnecessary but is still a great bargain. I don't think they are nearly as good as UPS when it comes to smashing shit though!

    Yup.
Uncle Sam needs more money from the working class . . . or should I say the mailing class.

Am I the only one that thinks the USPS will someday be a shell of what it used to be with the advent of electronics, e-mail, debit cards, EFT, etc.??
I know the paper check will someday be extinct.

If they keep going up like this, they should start putting something on the back worth licking.
    You're kidding, right?
First-class postage is still the biggest bargain in shipping.

    =Z=
Hey Marrdro - you aren't supposed to lick them anymore... they are self adhesive. Ow. ;D

    Zeus is right.
Compared to other letter delivery services, USPS has them beat, even if the price of stamps doubles.
They can't hold a candle to UPS or FedEx in parcel service though.
    Yes I am kidding.

My attempt at humor failed twice now.

Doesn't anyone remember putting acid on the back of stamps?

    Whew.
    I didn't think I was that old.
