I try to wack them right in the eyeball (sounds bad) so that I don't ruin any meat.
If you do that you don't have to shoot as many for a meal. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

That is impressive accuracy from a rimfire with a heavy bullet and and mediocre ballistics. On a bench the center fire 22-250's and 243's have a hard time maintaining that accuracy, especially with only 9x optics."BadlandsViking" wrote:

4 Potatoes (Diced)
6 Carrots (Diced)
3 Celery Stalks (Diced)
2 Onions (Diced)
Salt, Pepper, Garlic to taste.
Dash of Cajun seasoning to taste.
Pan fry the squirrel meat until brown, put in pan with all other ingreeediments and boil until done.

A 22 magnum isn't a heavy bullet at all.
Nothing like a 243.
Never shot a 22-250.
Key is to buy a brick of shells from the same lot.
Almost always gauranteed to get same performance.
I buy 500 rounds at a time.
243

22 Mag
