Sports betting
Anyone else into this?
My friend just pointed out www.sportsbook.com and am afraid I might get too addicted.
They got the Vikings at over or under 8 wins so I'll be putting down maybe $100 or so on that (over, of course).
Another thing I might do instead is bet AGAINST the vikings.
Yes, I'd rather they win, but if they are not victorious, at least I'll not be TOO unhappy.
I Love Kerry Collins (and John Rocker).

Re: Sports betting
OK, yes, it can get very addicting...win or lose.
When you win you want to win more and when you lose you want to get your money back.
It's just a crazy cycle.
Couple of pointers:
- Never bet more than you can afford to lose
- Keep it fun.
Keep track of your wins and losses and try to "make a name for yourself" and no one else.
- Find a fun place like wagerline.com to go to and that way no money is really involved, but you can still "try your hand" and it keeps up with your wins and losses and does involve some online "money" so you know how much you would have won or lost with your picks.
As for the Vikings...I NEVER bet one way or the other on them.
In my opinion, when you have a team close to your heart, you can't look at it logically and you have to go with your head more in these things...makes losing a little easier.
Keep in mind that ever since a few weeks ago, there were other online books, but they busted one guy who owned like 8 of them.
He got cocky and came into the US and now he's in jail and the books are all down...guess where the money people played is...some offshore account being confiscated by the US government.
It just can get really risky.
Trust me, I know.
Until next time...Gene Ramsay
