Thread: Soldier Skum!

Just wanted to let u know that i was recruited by the danish army today.. Im going to start my duty in February 2007, and end 4 months later..

We have this system in Denmark, that u first have to go trough some test - to see if youre fit to go.. I was and also passed the test(kinda of an IQ test - logic thinking).

You then have to draw a number

There is this bowl with 36.000 numbers in it.. (at the start - lots of people draw from it)

If you draw a number that is 0-8000 your are definatly going. If youre are 8000-18000 you might be going.. and if you draw 18000-36000 your are free of duty, (unless you voluntere yourself)

I really didnt want to go in there, but if you deny to go serve duty, you have to work in some social-related work - for a sucky salary.. so i kinda didnt want that either

Sounds like conscription to me...

Good luck, could be worse..Over in the Ukraine or Soviet Union, miltiary service is mandatory! If you decide not to go, jail sentence takes over. When the jail term is over, then military service begins..if you're not ready then..guess what ? lol
