    Soda Pop

    I pretty much know the boundaries in the States. What I'm really curious about is what others refer to it as? (Everyone can vote though)

    I grew up calling ALL soft drinks COKES...but my uncle calls them POP and my dad (his brother) calls them SOFT DRINKS.
    Now, that I have moved away far from home, I call them SODAS. It's better to be understood than right...you call them whatever gets the waitress to bring you what you want!

    I totally agree that is the only thing I have ever called it. The only time I heard it called soda was when I was in Mississippi.
