Skin colour decides MVP?
Don't know if there are any basketball fans in the group, but just wondering if anyone else heard about the sportswriter in Florida that was suggesting (out the side of his mouth) that Steve Nash won the NBA's MVP because he was white. He also said he was a one dimensional player. What's with that?!?

You could go either way with Shaq or Nash. But, I think Nash did deserve it a little more.
I seriously doubt that the voters were thinking of skin color when the chose an MVP.

You talking about that Bomini dude...I agree that he was talking out of the side of his neck. His article assumes so many stereotypes that it becomes a mess of biased garbage.Don't know if there are any basketball fans in the group, but just wondering if anyone else heard about the sportswriter in Florida that was suggesting (out the side of his mouth) that Steve Nash won the NBA's MVP because he was white. Yeah, I don't really think race was an issue. Personally I think Shaq should have won it, but he never gets any respect. He never even got considered for MVP while winning 3 championships with the Lakers. I think it's a shaq thing, not a race thing.

Re: Skin colour decides MVP?
That has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. He won the MVP because he was the most valuable to his team. Miami went to the second round of the playoffs last year. Pheonix won only 29 games last year. Shaq was not as important to his team as nash was to his.

I enjoy watching both guys play...and really they are like apples and oranges, just two different types of players completely. I don't think race was in the minds of those who voted at all, but it does sound like sour grapes coming from this guy who I believe is a Miami sportswriter.
